FCT Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
FCT's approach to CSR aligns with our values to act with "integrity," with "a passion to serve", a "passion to exceed" and "think differently." Our values guide our relationships with our customers, our employees, our stakeholders and the communities in which we live and work.
FCT's follows the ISO26000 Guidance on Social Responsibility which recognizes that CSR is a broad and multi-faceted undertaking to ensure the impacts of corporate products and activities are minimized on society and the surrounding environment. FCT has been recognized by Halton Conservation Authority for its good neighbour relationship to Wildflower Woods, including the annual Earth Day clean up of this conservation area bordering the Oakville home office.
FCT's products and services are founded on the principle of providing choice to consumers by offering new options to the parties involved in valuating, buying and mortgaging a home. FCT has been able to provide lenders and homeowners new options to reduce their risk, and at the same time reduce costs and paperwork in less time than traditional methods.
Title insurance offers homebuyers protection and security from risks to home ownership. Our strength as a company and the strength of local communities rely on homeownership. FCT shares this value by supporting initiatives to reduce homelessness and the barriers to home ownership in the communities in which we live and work.
FCT supports many charitable activities to reduce poverty and homelessness including:
- Red Cross Disaster Relief
- United Way
- Holiday donations to food banks in lieu of client gifts ,and
- Habitat for Humanity Canada (HFHC).
Since 2007 FCT had committed over $225,000 in direct and in-kind support to Habitat for Humanity Canada.
